Not having children due to fear of poverty or illness

Question:

I want to inform you that I have one son who was born with hemophilia, and when I intended to have another child, six doctors told me that undoubtedly all children born to me will have the same disease because it is hereditary. Therefore, despite my desire for children, fearing that the child born would also suffer from this disease, and fearing the unbearable expenses related to the treatment of this disease, and knowing that there is no definite cure for this disease, I have refrained from having children. Now the question is, is my action correct and Shariah-compliant or not? May we be rewarded by Allah for benefiting others.

Answer:

You should entrust this matter to Allah with reliance and trust in Him, and in the matter of seeking offspring, children should be born because causes are to be established upon causes, which is befitting for Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He. و باللہ التوفیق
