Are there many ways through which Satan misguides?
Answer:
Yes!
It is narrated from Abdullah bin Masood, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, drew a line with his hand and then said:
هذا سبيل الله مستقيما قال: ثم خط عن يمينه وشماله . ثم قال: هذه السبل، وليس منها سبيل إلا عليه شيطان يدعو إليه ثم قرأ:وَأَنَّ هَـٰذَا صِرَاطِي مُسْتَقِيمًا فَاتَّبِعُوهُ ۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا السُّبُلَ
This is the straight path, the path of Allah. Then he drew some lines to the right and left of this line and said: These are several paths, on each of which Satan sits inviting towards himself.
Then the Noble Prophet, peace be upon him, recited this blessed verse:
وَأَنَّ هَـٰذَا صِرَاطِي مُسْتَقِيمًا فَاتَّبِعُوهُ ۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا السُّبُلَ
“And indeed, this is My straight path, so follow it and do not follow other ways.”
