Hadith 151
أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرَّكْعَةِ الثَّانِيَةِ مِنَ الصُّبْحِ قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ أَنْجِ الْوَلِيدَ بْنَ الْوَلِيدِ ، وَسَلَمَةَ بْنَ هِشَامٍ ، وَعَيَّاشَ بْنَ أَبِي رَبِيعَةَ ، وَالْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ بِمَكَّةَ ، وَاشْدُدِ اللَّهُمَّ وَطْأَتَكَ عَلَى مُضَرَ ، وَاجْعَلْهَا عَلَيْهِمْ سِنِينَ كَسِنِي يُوسُفَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) raised his head after the second bowing (ruku‘), he supplicated: “O Allah! Rescue Walid bin Walid (the brother of Khalid bin Walid, may Allah be pleased with him), Salamah bin Hisham, ‘Ayyash bin Abi Rabi‘ah, and the weak Muslims from the captivity of the disbelievers of Makkah. O Allah! Crush the disbelievers of the tribe of Mudar with severity, and inflict upon them a famine like the famine during the time of Yusuf (peace be upon him).”
Hadith 152
أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ , عَنْ أَيُّوبَ السَّخْتِيَانِيِّ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ عَنِ الْقُنُوتِ ، فَقَالَ : " قَنَتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْدَ الرُّكُوعِ " .
Muhammad bin Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I asked Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) about Qunoot. He replied that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) performed Qunoot after bowing (ruku‘).
Hadith 153
أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ ، قَالَ : شَكَا رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ يَجِدُ الشَّيْءَ فِي الصَّلاةِ ، فَقَالَ : " لا تَنْصَرِفْ حَتَّى تَجِدَ رِيحًا أَوْ تَسْمَعَ صَوْتًا " .
‘Ubad bin Tamim (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his uncle that a man complained to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he feels doubt in prayer that wind has passed. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Do not leave the prayer unless you hear a sound or perceive a smell.”
