أَنْبَأَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ أَبِي نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لا سَبَقَ إِلا فِي نَعْلٍ ، أَوْ حَافِرٍ ، أَوْ خُفٍّ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is not permissible to hold competitions in anything except archery, horse riding, and camel racing."
