أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، سَمِعْتُ شَبِيبَ بْنَ غَرْقَدَةَ الْبَارِقِيَّ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ عُرْوَةَ بْنَ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ الْبَارِقِيَّ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " الْخَيْلُ مَعْقُودٌ فِي نَوَاصِيهَا الْخَيْرُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ " . قَالَ شَبِيبٌ : فَرَأَيْتُ فِيَ دَارِ عُرْوَةَ سَبْعِينَ فَرَسًا مَرْبُوطَةً .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Urwah bin Abi J'ad al-Bariqi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Goodness and blessing have been tied to the forelocks of horses until the Day of Resurrection." The narrator Shabib (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I saw seventy horses tied at the house of Urwah (may Allah be pleased with him).
