أَنْبَأَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، وَطَاوُسٍ ، وَمُجَاهِدٍ ، وَالْحَسَنِ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ فِي خُطْبَتِهِ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ : " لا يُقْتَلُ مُؤْمِنٌ بِكَافِرٍ " .
It is narrated from Ata, Tawus, Mujahid, and Hasan (may Allah have mercy on them) that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) delivered a sermon on the occasion of the conquest of Makkah and said: "A believer will not be killed in place of a disbeliever."
