أَنْبَأَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لا يَمْنَعْ أَحَدُكُمْ جَارَهُ أَنْ يَغْرِزَ خَشَبَهً فِي جِدَارِهِ " . قَالَ : ثُمَّ يَقُولُ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : مَا لِيَ أَرَاكُمْ عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ ! وَاللَّهِ لأَرْمِيَنَّ بِهَا بَيْنَ أَكْتَافِكُمْ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "None of you should prevent his neighbor from fixing a wooden peg in his wall." The narrator says that then Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, used to say: "What is this? I see you turning away from it. I will surely fix it between your shoulders."
