عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الأَعْرَجِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا اسْتَأْذَنَ أَحَدَكُمْ جَارُهُ أَنْ يَغْرِزَ خَشَبَةً فِي جِدَارِهِ فَلا يَمْنَعْهُ " . فَلَمَّا حَدَّثَهُمْ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ نَكَسُوا رُءُوسَهُمْ فَقَالَ : مَا لِيَ أَرَاكُمْ عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ ! أَمَا وَاللَّهِ لأَرْمِيَنَّ بِهَا بَيْنَ أَكْتَافِكُمْ .
Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When your neighbor asks permission to place a beam in your wall, do not prevent him." When Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated this hadith, the listeners lowered their necks. Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "What is the matter that you are turning away from it? I will keep narrating it to you until you accept it."
