Hadith 376

عَنْ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لابْنِ طَاوُسٍ : مَا كَانَ أَبُوكَ يَقُولُ إِذَا سَمِعَ الرَّعْدَ ؟ قَالَ : كَانَ يَقُولُ : " سُبْحَانَ مَنْ سَبَّحَتْ لَهُ " .
Sufyan bin ‘Uyaynah (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I asked the son of Tawus (may Allah have mercy on him), “What would your father say when he heard the sound of thunder?” He replied: He would say, “(O thunder,) Glorified is He whom you have glorified (indeed) He is the Pure One.”
