Hadith 365

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : " فَرَضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَدَقَةَ الْفِطْرِ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) made obligatory "one sa’ of dates or one sa’ of barley as Fitrana (Zakat al-Fitr)."
