Hadith 318

وَأَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي رَمَضَانَ فَقَالَ : " إِنِّي أُرِيتُ هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةَ حَتَّى تَلاحَى رَجُلانِ فَرُفِعَتْ فَالْتَمِسُوهَا فِي التَّاسِعَةِ وَالسَّابِعَةِ وَالْخَامِسَةِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out (from his chamber) to us during Ramadan and said: "Laylat al-Qadr was shown to me, but then two men were arguing (I became occupied with their matter), so it was taken away from my memory. Therefore, seek it in the nights of the twenty-ninth, twenty-seventh, and twenty-fifth."
