Salim (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his father that a man saw Laylat al-Qadr in a dream. He said, "I saw such and such." So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "I see that your dreams are agreeing with each other, so seek Laylat al-Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten (nights), or in the seven remaining nights." Sufyan (may Allah have mercy on him), the narrator, was uncertain whether he said to seek it in the odd nights or in the remaining seven nights.
