Hadith 307

Sayyiduna Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that we were on a journey with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Due to the intensity of the heat, we placed our hands on our heads. Among us, only the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and Abdullah bin Rawaha (may Allah be pleased with him) were fasting, or it was Abdullah bin Huzafah (may Allah be pleased with him). It was either Abdullah bin Rawaha (may Allah be pleased with him) or Ibn Huzafah (may Allah be pleased with him); Imam Shafi’i (may Allah have mercy on him) was uncertain.
