عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، " أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنِ الْمُزَابَنَةِ ، وَالْمُزَابَنَةُ بَيْعُ الثَّمَرِ بِالتَّمْرِ كَيْلا وَبَيْعُ الْكَرْمِ بِالزَّبِيبِ كَيْلا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade Muzabana. Muzabana is that dates on the tree are sold by measure in exchange for dried dates, and similarly, grapes on the vine are sold in exchange for raisins.
