عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْمُحَاقَلَةِ ، وَالْمُزَابَنَةِ " . وَالْمُحَاقَلَةُ أَنْ يَبِيعَ الرَّجُلُ الزَّرْعَ بِمِائَةِ فَرَقِ حِنْطَةٍ . وَالْمُزَابَنَةُ أَنْ يَبِيعَ التَّمْرَ فِي رُءُوسِ النَّخْلِ بِمِائَةِ فَرَقِ تَمْرٍ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the transactions of Muhaqala and Muzabana. Muhaqala refers to selling a crop growing in the field in exchange for a specified amount of dry grain, and Muzabana refers to selling fruit on the tree in exchange for a specified amount of dry fruit.
