It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet ﷺ said: “On the day of Jumu’ah (Friday), at every door of the mosque, angels sit with registers in their hands. They record the names of those who come first, and when the Imam begins the sermon, they close their registers and listen to the sermon. The one who comes early for the prayer receives the reward of sacrificing a camel, the one who comes after him receives the reward of sacrificing a cow, then after him the reward of sacrificing a ram, then after that, then after that, until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ even mentioned a chicken and an egg.”
