أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي، وَأَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الْمُزَكِّي قَالُوا: ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ، أنبأ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ، وَرَجُلٌ آخَرُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنِ النَّخَعِيِّ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْمِعْرَاضِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِذَا رَمَيْتَ فَسَمَّيْتَ فَخَرَقَ فَكُلْ وَإِنْ قَتَلَ، وَإِذَا أَصَبْتَ بِعَرْضِهِ فَقَتَلَ فَلَا تَأْكُلْ ". رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ قَبِيصَةَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، وَأَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ كَمَا مَضَى.
Sayyiduna Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about game killed by the broad side of a spear (mi'rad). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you mention the name of Allah and strike the game with the spear and it makes its blood flow, then eat, even if it kills it; but if it strikes with its broad side and kills it, then do not eat."
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ الْعَدْلُ بِبَغْدَادَ، أنبأ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مَرْوَانَ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أنبأ عَاصِمٌ، وَزَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ صَيْدِ الْمِعْرَاضِ فَقَالَ: " مَا أَصَبْتَ بِحَدِّهِ فَكُلْ، وَمَا أَصَبْتَ بِعَرْضِهِ فَهُوَ وَقِيذٌ ". أَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ وَمُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ، وَزَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ وَغَيْرِهِمَا.
Sayyiduna Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) asked about game killed by the broad side of a spear, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What the edge of the spear strikes, eat it; and game that is struck by the broad side of the spear is to be regarded as having died from a blow with a blunt object, so do not eat it."
