أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الْمُزَكِّي، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، أنبأ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، أنبأ الشَّافِعِيُّ، أنبأ مَالِكٌ، ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدُوسٍ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ، ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، فِيمَا قَرَأَ عَلَى مَالِكٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ جَاءَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَبِهِ أَثَرُ صُفْرَةٍ فَسَأَلَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " كَمْ سُقْتَ إِلَيْهَا؟ " قَالَ: زِنَةُ نَوَاةٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " أَوْلِمْ وَلَوْ بِشَاةٍ " رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ عَنْ مَالِكٍ، وَأَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ مِنْ وَجْهٍ آخَرَ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ.
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) with traces of yellow (perfume) on him. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, he told him: I have married a woman of the Ansar. He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "How much dower (mahr) did you give?" He said: Gold equal to the weight of a date-stone. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Give a wedding feast (walimah), even if only with one goat."
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، أنبأ حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ أَثَرَ صُفْرَةٍ فَقَالَ: " مَا هَذَا؟ " قَالَ: إِنِّي تَزَوَّجْتُ امْرَأَةً عَلَى وَزْنِ نَوَاةٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ قَالَ: " فَبَارَكَ اللهُ لَكَ أَوْلِمْ وَلَوْ بِشَاةٍ " رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَحْيَى، وَأَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ، عَنْ مُسَدَّدٍ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ كَمَا مَضَى.
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw traces of yellow on Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) and said: "What is this?" He said: I have married a woman for gold equal to the weight of a date-stone. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "May Allah bless you. Give a wedding feast (walimah), even if with one goat."

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ، أنبأ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ثنا الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، ح قَالَ: وَثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، ثنا الْفِرْيَابِيُّ، ح قَالَ: وَثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ، وَيُوسُفُ الْقَاضِي قَالَا: ثنا ابْنُ كَثِيرٍ، كُلُّهُمْ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ⦗٤٢٢⦘ الطَّوِيلِ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: لَمَّا قَدِمَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ الْمَدِينَةَ فَآخَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ سَعْدِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ فَعَرَضَ عَلَيْهِ سَعْدٌ أَنْ يُنَاصِفَهُ أَهْلَهُ وَمَالَهُ، وَكَانَ لَهُ امْرَأَتَانِ فَقَالَ لَهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ: بَارَكَ اللهُ لَكَ فِي أَهْلِكَ وَمَالِكَ دُلُّونِي عَلَى السُّوقِ، قَالَ: فَأَتَى السُّوقَ فَرَبِحَ شَيْئًا مِنْ أَقِطٍ وَشَيْئًا مِنْ سَمْنٍ فَرَآهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْدَ أَيَّامٍ وَعَلَيْهِ وَضَرٌ مِنْ صُفْرَةٍ فَقَالَ: " مَهْيَمْ؟ " فَقَالَ: تَزَوَّجْتُ امْرَأَةً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ، فَقَالَ: " مَا سُقْتَ إِلَيْهَا؟ " قَالَ: وَزْنُ نَوَاةٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَقَالَ: " أَوْلِمْ وَلَوْ بِشَاةٍ " رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ، عَنِ الْفِرْيَابِيِّ وَمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ.
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When Abd al-Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) came to Madinah, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) established brotherhood between him and Sa'd bin al-Rabi' (may Allah be pleased with them both). Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) offered Abd al-Rahman (may Allah be pleased with him) his family and half of his wealth; Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) had two wives. Abd al-Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) said: May Allah bless you in your family and your wealth; show me the way to the market. Then Abd al-Rahman (may Allah be pleased with him) bought cheese (aqit) and ghee in the market and made a profit. After a few days the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw Abd al-Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) with traces of yellow on him, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Abd al-Rahman, what is this?" He said: I have married a woman of the Ansar. He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "What dower (mahr) did you give?" He said: I gave gold equal to the weight of a date-stone. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Give a wedding feast (walimah), even if with one goat."
