أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ، أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ دَاسَةَ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ قَالَا: ثنا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ: ذُكِرَ تَزْوِيجُ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا عِنْدَ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فَقَالَ: " مَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْلَمَ عَلَى أَحَدٍ مِنْ نِسَائِهِ مَا أَوْلَمَ عَلَيْهَا أَوْلَمَ بِشَاةٍ " رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ، عَنْ مُسَدَّدٍ، وَرَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ، عَنْ قُتَيْبَةَ.
Thabit (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The marriage of Sayyidah Zaynab bint Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with her) was mentioned in the presence of Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), and he said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not give a wedding feast (walimah) on the marriage of any other of his wives like the wedding feast he gave on her marriage; he (peace and blessings be upon him) gave the wedding feast with a goat.
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو الْفَضْلِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، يَقُولُ: " مَا أَوْلَمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى امْرَأَةٍ مِنْ نِسَائِهِ أَكْثَرَ وَأَفْضَلَ مِمَّا أَوْلَمَ عَلَى زَيْنَبَ " قَالَ ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ: مَا أَوْلَمَ؟ قَالَ: أَطْعَمَهُمْ خُبْزًا وَلَحْمًا حَتَّى تَرَكُوهُ رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بَشَّارٍ وَغَيْرُهُ، وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ.
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Of all his wives, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave the largest and best wedding feast (walimah) on the occasion of his marriage to Sayyidah Zaynab (may Allah be pleased with her). Thabit al-Bunani (may Allah have mercy on him) asked: What wedding feast did he (peace and blessings be upon him) give? Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: He fed them meat and bread until the Companions left it and went away.
