Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "There is no believer except that I am the nearest of people to him in this world and the Hereafter. Recite, if you wish: 'The Prophet is closer to the believers than their own selves' [Surah al-Ahzab: 6]. Whoever leaves wealth, let his agnatic heirs ('asabah) inherit it; and if he leaves debt or children, bring them to me, for I am his guardian."
