Hisham bin Urwah narrates from his father, from his grandfather (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "For one of you to take his rope, tie up a bundle of firewood, carry it on his back and sell it, and get by with its price, is better for him than going about asking people, whether they give him or refuse him."
And in the hadith of Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him): I arranged with a man that he would travel with me and we would bring idhkhir, which I would sell to the goldsmiths, and then use it to help me with my wedding feast.

Husayn bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with them both) reported that Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: On the day of Badr, an old she-camel came to my share of the spoils, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave me another she-camel from the khumus (one-fifth). When I intended to marry Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her), I arranged with a man of Banu Qaynuqa', who was a goldsmith, that we would bring idhkhir. I intended to sell it and use it to help me with my wedding feast.
