Sayyiduna Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The example of a good companion and a bad companion is like the one who carries musk and the one who blows the bellows. The musk-seller will either offer you some perfume, or you will buy from him, or at least you will get a pleasant fragrance from him; and the one who blows the bellows will either burn your clothes, or else you will get an unpleasant smell."
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Musk is the purest of fragrances." And Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) says: "It is as if I were looking at the glistening of musk in the parting of the hair of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was in the state of ihram."

Ibn Wahb narrates from Muslim bin Khalid, he from Musa bin Uqbah, and he from Umm Kulthum (may Allah be pleased with her): When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) married Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), he said to her: "I have sent some ounces of musk and a hullah (suit of garments) as a gift to the Negus, but now he has died. It seems the goods will come back. If they come back, they will be yours," or he said: "They will be for all of you." It happened just so: the Negus passed away and the gifts came back, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) gave each of his wives one ounce from it, gave the rest to Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), and gave her the hullah as well.
In the narration of Musaddad it is stated: "But it will be returned to me; if they are returned to me, I will divide them among you," or he said: "The goods will be yours."
