Ibn Wahb narrates from Muslim bin Khalid, he from Musa bin Uqbah, and he from Umm Kulthum (may Allah be pleased with her): When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) married Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), he said to her: "I have sent some ounces of musk and a hullah (suit of garments) as a gift to the Negus, but now he has died. It seems the goods will come back. If they come back, they will be yours," or he said: "They will be for all of you." It happened just so: the Negus passed away and the gifts came back, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) gave each of his wives one ounce from it, gave the rest to Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), and gave her the hullah as well.
In the narration of Musaddad it is stated: "But it will be returned to me; if they are returned to me, I will divide them among you," or he said: "The goods will be yours."
