Mukhabarah is renting out land in return for a third or a quarter of the produce; muhaqalah is buying (grain still) in the ears in exchange for wheat; and muzabanah is selling fresh fruit (on the tree) in exchange for dried dates. I said to Sufyan: Is this explanation in the hadith of Ibn Jurayj? He said: Yes.
