Abu al-Safar (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I heard Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) saying: "Let me hear what you say, and understand what I say to you. Beware! Do not go out and say, 'Ibn Abbas said.' Any boy whose family took him on Hajj and who then reaches the age of manhood, Hajj is due from him; if he dies (before that), he has fulfilled his Hajj. And any slave whose family took him on Hajj and who is then set free, Hajj is due from him; if he dies (before that), he has fulfilled his Hajj."

Abu Zabyan narrates from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) as a marfu' report: "Any boy who performs Hajj and then reaches puberty, another Hajj is obligatory upon him; any Bedouin who performs Hajj and then emigrates, another Hajj is due from him as well; and any slave who performs Hajj and is then set free, another Hajj is obligatory upon him too."
Only Muhammad bin al-Minhal narrated it as marfu', from Yazid bin Zuray', from Shu'bah; others narrated it from Shu'bah as mawquf (a saying of Ibn Abbas). Likewise Sufyan al-Thawri narrated it from al-A'mash as mawquf, and that is what is correct.

Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever performs Hajj at a young age, Hajj is due from him when he reaches puberty, if he is able to find a way to it." And he mentioned the rest of the hadith about the slave and the Bedouin in the same pattern.
(b) Al-Hasan al-Basri and Ata bin Abi Rabah (may Allah have mercy on them both) say concerning a slave who entered ihram for Hajj and was then set free: If he was freed at Arafah, this Hajj will suffice for him. If he was freed at Muzdalifah, he should go back to Arafah, and this Hajj will also suffice for him.
Haram bin Uthman is da'if (weak).
