It has been narrated to us from Ata, from Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), concerning a person in the state of ihram for Hajj who has intercourse with his wife while she too is in ihram, that he said: "They should both complete this Hajj of theirs, and it is obligatory upon them to perform Hajj the following year from the same place where they (first) entered ihram."
And the same has been narrated to us from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him).
As for those who hold that Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) abandoned her Umrah and then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered her to make it up from al-Tan'im, we have already established through the previous evidence that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) only ordered her to join the Hajj to the Umrah, by which she became a qarinah (one performing Qiran), and her performing Umrah (afterwards from al-Tan'im) was merely something she liked to do.

Ibn Tawus narrates from his father that Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) entered ihram for Umrah, but she began menstruating before performing tawaf of the House, and she performed all the remaining rites. She had entered ihram for Hajj, and on the Day of Departure (al-Nafr) the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: "Your sa'y suffices for your Hajj and your Umrah." But she declined, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent her brother Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman (may Allah be pleased with him) with her to al-Tan'im, and she performed Umrah after the Hajj.
