Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "All of Arafah is a standing-place, all of Muzdalifah is a standing-place, all of Mina is a place of sacrifice, and every street of Makkah is a place of sacrifice and a road."

Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood at Arafah and said: "This is Arafah and this is the standing-place, and all of Arafah is a standing-place." Then he departed from Arafah when the sun had set, and made Sayyiduna Usamah (may Allah be pleased with him) ride behind him, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) was going at an easy pace while the people were rushing to the right and left; he (peace and blessings be upon him) would not look at them, and he was saying: "O people! Hold fast to tranquillity," until he came to Muzdalifah. There he offered the two prayers. When morning came, he reached Quzah and said: "This is Quzah and this is the standing-place, and all of Jam' is a standing-place." And at Mina he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This is the place of sacrifice, and all of Mina is a place of sacrifice."

This is how it was said by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr, or by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them).
