Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that a man asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about intimate contact (mubasharah) for the fasting person, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) gave him a concession. Then another man came and also asked, but he (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade him. Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in a dream, but he (peace and blessings be upon him) was not looking at me. I said: O Messenger of Allah! What is the matter with me? So he (peace and blessings be upon him) turned towards me and said: "Are you not the one who kisses while fasting?"
