أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ فُورَكٍ، أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ: " أُدْخِلَ فِي قَبْرِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَطِيفَةٌ حَمْرَاءُ "..
Abu Jamrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) saying that a red mat was placed in the grave of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، أنبأ وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، بِمَعْنَاهُ. رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَحْيَى، عَنْ وَكِيعٍ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ.
Waki' (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates the same meaning from the narration of Shu'bah (may Allah have mercy on him).
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالَا: ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: " وَقَدْ كَانَ شُقْرَانُ حِينَ وُضِعَ ⦗٥٧٣⦘ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حُفْرَتِهِ أَخَذَ قَطِيفَةً قَدْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَلْبَسُهَا وَيَفْرِشُهَا فَدَفَنَهَا مَعَهُ فِي الْقَبْرِ، وَقَالَ: وَاللهِ لَا يَلْبَسُهَا أَحَدٌ بَعْدَكَ، فَدُفِنَتْ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ". فَفِي هَذِهِ الرِّوَايَةِ إِنْ كَانَتْ ثَابِتَةً دَلَالَةٌ عَلَى أَنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَفْرِشُوهَا فِي الْقَبْرِ اسْتِعْمَالًا لِلسُّنَّةِ فِي ذَلِكَ..
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was placed in his grave, Shuqran took a velvet cloth (qatifah) which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to wear and spread out, and buried it with him in the grave, and said: "By Allah! No one will wear it after you." So it was buried with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). So in this narration, if it is established, there is evidence that they did not spread it in the grave as an application of the Sunnah.
