باب: عَقْدُ الكَفَنِ خَشْيَةَ انْتِشَارِهِ، وَحَلِّهِ عِنْدَ إِدْخَالِ الْمَيِّتِ فِي الْقَبْرِ

وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ طَلْحَةُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الصَّقْرِ بِبَغْدَادَ، أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى الْآدَمِيُّ، ثنا عَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدُّورِيُّ، ثنا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ، ثنا خَلَفٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ خَلِيفَةَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَقُولُ: أَظُنُّهُ سَمِعَهُ مِنْ مَوْلَاهُ، وَمَوْلَاهُ مَعْقِلُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ: " لَمَّا وَضَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نُعَيْمَ بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ فِي الْقَبْرِ نَزَعَ الْأَخِلَّةَ بِفِيهِ ". قَوْلُهُ: أَظُنُّهُ، أَحْسَبُهُ مِنْ قَوْلِ الدُّورِيِّ، وَرَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ فِي الْمَرَاسِيلِ عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ مُوسَى، وَسُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ دَاوُدَ الْعَتَكِيِّ، أَنَّ خَلَفَ بْنَ خَلِيفَةَ حَدَّثَهُمْ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: بَلَغَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَهُ.
Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) placed Nu'aym bin Mas'ud in the grave, he pulled out the pins fastening the shroud with his mouth.
أَنْبَأَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، إِجَازَةً أَنَّ أَبَا الْوَلِيدِ، أَخْبَرَهُمْ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، أنبأ عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ سَيَّارٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عُثْمَانُ ابْنُ أَخِي سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: مَاتَ ابْنٌ لِسَمُرَةَ، وَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ قَالَ: فَقَالَ: " انْطَلِقْ بِهِ إِلَى حُفْرَتِهِ، فَإِذَا وَضَعْتَهُ فِي لَحْدِهِ فَقُلْ: بِسْمِ اللهِ، وَعَلَى سُنَّةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ أَطْلِقْ عَقْدَ رَأْسِهِ وَعَقْدَ رِجْلَيْهِ ".
Uthman, the nephew of Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him), narrates that a son of Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) died, and he said to me: Go with him to his grave, and when you place him in his niche (lahd), say: 'Bismillah wa 'ala sunnati Rasulillah' (In the name of Allah and upon the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)). Then untie the knot at his head and the knot at his feet.
