Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that one day the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) returned from a funeral at al-Baqi', and I was feeling a pain in my head, and I was saying: Oh, my head! He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Rather, O Aishah, (it is) my head!" Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What harm would it do you if you died before me? I would wash you and shroud you, offer the funeral prayer over you, and bury you." I said: It is as if I can see you; by Allah, if you did that, you would then return to my house and spend the wedding night in it with one of your wives. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) smiled. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) began (to suffer) the illness in which he died.
