باب: ما يستحب من وضع شيء على بطنه، ثم وضعه على سرير أو غيره لئلا يسرع انتفاخه

أَنْبَأَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، إِجَازَةً، أنبأ أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُقْبَةَ، ثنا أَبُو الْمُنِيبِ، ثنا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْمَدَنِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ آدَمَ قَالَ: مَاتَ مَوْلًى لِأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عِنْدَ مَغِيبِ الشَّمْسِ، فَقَالَ أَنَسٌ: " ضَعُوا عَلَى بَطْنِهِ حَدِيدَةً ".
Abdullah bin Adam says: A freed slave of Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) died in the evening, and Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Place something made of iron on his stomach.
Imam al-Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that he was once asked about placing a sword on the stomach of the deceased, and he said: It is placed out of fear that he may swell.

وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو حَازِمٍ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ أَبُو أَحْمَدَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ الْأَشْعَثِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبَّادِ بْنِ آدَمَ، ثنا بَكْرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: " لَمَّا فُرِغَ مِنْ جِهَازِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الثُّلَاثَاءِ وُضِعَ عَلَى سَرِيرِهِ فِي بَيْتِهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ".
It is narrated from Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the preparation of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was completed on Tuesday, he (peace and blessings be upon him) was placed on a bed in his house.
