Abd al-Aziz bin Abi Hazim narrates from his father (Abu Hazim), who narrates from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him): "We used to be very happy on Friday." I said: Why? He said: "There was an old woman who would go to a place called Buda'ah and bring from there a vegetable called silq (chard). She would put it in a pot, add grains of barley to it and cook it. When we came back and went to her and greeted her, she would offer it to us. Because of this we used to be very happy on Friday. We would take our midday nap and eat our morning meal only after the Friday prayer."
