Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while he (peace and blessings be upon him) was saying on the pulpit: "O people! Repent to Allah before you die, hasten to righteous deeds, and connect your relationship with your Lord through abundant remembrance (of Him) and abundant charity, in secret and in public; you will be given reward, praise and provision. Know that Allah has made Jumu'ah obligatory upon you, in this place of mine, in this month of mine, in this year of mine, until the Day of Resurrection, for whoever is able to reach it. Whoever, in my lifetime or after me, denies it and takes it lightly and abandons Jumu'ah, while he has a ruler, whether just or unjust, Allah will not gather his scattered affairs, nor will He bless him in his affairs, and his prayer, ablution, zakah, Hajj and witr are not accepted until he repents. If he repents, Allah will accept his repentance. No woman should lead a man in prayer, nor should a Bedouin lead a Muhajir, nor should a sinner lead a believer in prayer, unless he is forcibly overpowered, that is, he fears his sword and whip."
Abdullah bin Muhammad, who is al-Adawi, is munkar al-hadith (his narrations are rejected); he is not corroborated in his hadith, as Muhammad bin Isma'il al-Bukhari said. A report with this meaning about Jumu'ah has also been narrated from Abu Hurayrah from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and it too is da'if (weak).
