Umm Jahdar al-Amiriyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) asked Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) about menstrual blood getting on a garment. Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I was with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and we had our undergarments on, and over them we had wrapped ourselves in cloaks. In the morning the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took that cloak and wrapped himself in it, then he (peace and blessings be upon him) led the morning prayer. A man said: O Prophet of Allah! Its colour has changed because of blood? He (peace and blessings be upon him) gathered up the cloth from that place and sent it to me in the hand of a boy, and said: "Wash this, dry it, and send it back to me." Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I called for water in a bowl, washed it, dried it and sent it back to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came at midday wearing that same cloth.

Sufyan bin Abd al-Malik related that Abdullah bin al-Mubarak (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "I saw Rawh bin Ghutayf, the narrator of the hadith attributed to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about blood the size of a dirham. I sat with him in a gathering, and I began to feel ashamed before my companions lest they see me sitting with him, because of the abundance of munkar (denounced) narrations among the hadiths he narrated."

Ahmad bin al-Abbas said: I said to Yahya bin Ma'in: Do you know (this) from al-Zuhri, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that he said: "The prayer is to be repeated for blood the size of a dirham"? He said: No, by Allah. Then he said: From whom (did you get it)? I said: Muhriz bin Awn narrated it to us. He said: Trustworthy; from whom? I said: From al-Qasim bin Malik al-Muzani. He said: Trustworthy; from whom? I said: From Rawh bin Ghutayf. (I said:) What do you say, O Abu Zakariyya? I think the problem has come to us only from Rawh bin Ghutayf. He said: Yes.
Abu Ahmad (Ibn Adi) said: As far as I know, no one other than Rawh bin Ghutayf narrates this from al-Zuhri, and it is munkar (denounced) with this chain. And according to what has reached me from Muhammad bin Yahya al-Dhuhli, he said: I fear that this is fabricated, and this Rawh is majhul (unknown).

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) "granted a concession for praying in a garment stained with the blood of boils." And Ata' used to pray with it on his garment.
Only Baqiyyah bin al-Walid narrated this from Ibn Jurayj. Abu Ahmad Ibn Adi al-Hafiz said: This hadith is known only through Baqiyyah from Ibn Jurayj, and it is likely that between Baqiyyah and Ibn Jurayj there are some unknown or some weak narrators, because Baqiyyah often does that.
