Salim bin Abdullah bin Umar narrates from his father (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no prostration of forgetfulness for a slight rising in the prayer; rather, the prostration of forgetfulness becomes due by standing instead of sitting, or by sitting instead of standing."
This hadith is narrated only by Abu Bakr al-Ansi, and he is majhul (unknown).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Forgetfulness is when one stands where he should sit, or sits where he should stand, or gives the salam after two rak'ahs. So, on finishing his prayer, he should perform two prostrations while sitting, recite the tashahhud in them, and give the salam."

Thabit (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) led us in prayer, and he stood where he should have sat, or sat where he should have stood, so he performed two prostrations. And he related about his companions that they used to do the same.
