Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Urine should not be passed into standing water, that is, water which does not flow, and then a person bathes from it." And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When one of you wakes up from sleep, he should not put his hand into the vessel until he has washed it, for he does not know where his hand spent the night."
(b) Al-Za'farani said that Imam al-Shafi'i (may Allah have mercy on him) wrote in his old book: If dough is kneaded with impure water, it may not be eaten; rather, it should be fed to animals.
(c) Imam Ahmad (may Allah have mercy on him) said: It is reported from Ata and Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on them both) that they would feed such dough to chickens.

(a) It is narrated from Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) that Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) informed him that the people stopped with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) at al-Hijr, which was the land of Thamud. The Companions drew water from its wells and kneaded dough with it. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered them to pour away the water they had drawn and to feed the dough to the camels, and along with that he said: "They should use water from the well which the she-camel used to come to."
(b) Although this water was not impure, since its use was forbidden he (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered it to be poured away and ordered the dough kneaded with it to be fed to the camels; and the same applies to whatever is forbidden because of its impurity.

(a) It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about dough into which drops of blood had fallen, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade eating it.
(b) It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a slave girl kneaded dough in a vessel and her hand was wounded, because of which drops of blood fell into the dough. She asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not eat it."
Suwayd confused the narration of this hadith, narrating it once from Nuh from al-Hasan and once from Humayd from Anas; most of his hadith are not corroborated by trustworthy narrators, and he is da'if (weak), as Ahmad bin Hanbal, Yahya bin Ma'in and other imams described him.
