أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ الْفَضْلِ، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَفَّانَ، ثنا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، ثنا أَبُو شَيْبَةَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الزُّبَيْدِيُّ، ثنا مُجَاهِدٌ، قَالَ: جَاءَ نَفَرٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْعِرَاقِ إِلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالُوا: إِنَّا أَنْفَجْنَا ضَبُعًا فَرَدَدْنَاهَا بَيْنَنَا فَأَصَبْنَاهَا وَمِنَّا الْحَلَالُ وَمِنَّا الْحَرَامُ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ: " إِنْ كَانَ ضَبُعًا فَكَبْشٌ سَمِينٌ، وَإِنْ كَانَ ضَبُعَةً فَنَعْجَةٌ سَمِينَةٌ ". قَالَ: فَقَالُوا: يَا أَبَا الْعَبَّاسِ عَلَى كُلِّ رَجُلٍ مِنَّا؟ قَالَ: " لَا وَلَكِنْ تَخَارَجُوا بَيْنَكُمْ ".
Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) said: A group of people from Iraq came to Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) and said: We flushed out a hyena and drove it back and forth between us until we struck it, and some of us were not in ihram while some of us were in ihram. Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "If it was a male hyena, then a fat ram; and if it was a female hyena, then a fat ewe." They said: O Abu al-Abbas, (is that) upon each man of us? He said: "No, but share it among yourselves."
