أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَفَّانَ الْعَامِرِيُّ الْكُوفِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: " قَضَى عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي الضَّبُعِ كَبْشًا، وَفِي الظَّبْيِ شَاةً، وَفِي الْأَرْنَبِ جَفْرَةً، وَفِي الْيَرْبُوعِ عَنَاقًا " كَذَا فِي كِتَابِي " جَفْرَةً فِي الْأَرْنَبِ، وَعَنَاقًا فِي الْيَرْبُوعِ ".
Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with them both) that Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) ruled a ram for a hyena, a goat for a gazelle, a one-year-old young goat for a hare, and a one-year-old young goat for a jerboa. It is like this in my book: a young sheep for a hare and a young goat for a jerboa.
