أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، أنبأ الرَّبِيعُ، أنبأ الشَّافِعِيُّ، أنبأ سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ " أَنَّ غُلَامًا مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ قَتَلَ حَمَامَةً مِنْ حَمَامِ مَكَّةَ فَأَمَرَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ أَنْ يُفْدَى عَنْهُ بِشَاةٍ ".
Ata' bin Abi Rabah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: A boy from Quraysh killed one of the pigeons of Makkah, so Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) told him to give a sheep as ransom (fidyah).
