أَخْبَرَنَاهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، وَأَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عُبَيْدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَهْدِيٍّ الْقُشَيْرِيُّ لَفْظًا قَالَا: ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الصَّغَانِيُّ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ فَارِسٍ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ، أنبأ سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمَّا انْتَهَى إِلَى الشِّعْبِ الَّذِي يَدْخُلُهُ الْأُمَرَاءُ دَخَلَهُ فَدَعَا بِمَاءٍ فَتَوَضَّأَ فَقُلْتُ: الصَّلَاةَ، فَقَالَ: " الصَّلَاةُ أَمَامَكَ " فَلَمَّا أَتَى الْمُزْدَلِفَةَ أَقَامَ فَصَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ فَلَمْ يَحِلَّ آخِرُ النَّاسِ حَتَّى أَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ فَصَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ.
Sayyiduna Usamah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I was with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). When he reached the mountain pass which the rulers enter, he called for water for ablution and performed ablution. I said: The prayer! He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The prayer is ahead of you." When he came to Muzdalifah, he had the iqamah called and prayed Maghrib; the last of the people had not yet arrived when he had the iqamah called and prayed Isha.
