وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو نَصْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الْفَقِيهُ بِبُخَارَى، ثنا قَيْسُ بْنُ أُنَيْفٍ الْبُخَارِيُّ، ثنا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي قِصَّةِ حَجِّ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " وَلَبَّى النَّاسُ لَبَّيْكَ ذَا الْمَعَارِجِ، وَلَبَّيْكَ ذَا الْفَوَاضِلِ، فَلَمْ يَعِبْ عَلَى أَحَدٍ مِنْهُمْ شَيْئًا ".
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him), in the account of the Hajj of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), says that the people recited the talbiyah thus: 'Labbayk Dhal-Ma'arij, wa labbayk Dhal-Fawadil' (Here I am, O Possessor of the ascending ways; here I am, O Possessor of grace and bounty), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not find fault with any of them.
