أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، أنبأ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، أنبأ الشَّافِعِيُّ، أنبأ سَعِيدُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَّتَ لِأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ ذَا الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَلِأَهْلِ الْمَغْرِبِ الْجُحْفَةَ وَلِأَهْلِ الْمَشْرِقِ ذَاتَ عِرْقٍ وَلِأَهْلِ نَجْدٍ قَرْنًا وَمَنْ سَلَكَ نَجْدًا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ وَغَيْرِهِمْ قَرْنَيِ الْمَعَادِنِ، وَلِأَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ أَلَمْلَمَ.
Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) "appointed as miqat Dhu al-Hulayfah for the people of Madinah, al-Juhfah for the people of the West, Dhat Irq for the people of the East and Qarn for the people of Najd; and for those of the people of Yemen and others who take the Najd route, Qarn al-Ma'adin; and Yalamlam for the people of Yemen."
