باب: من قال بوجوب العمرة استدلالا بقول الله تعالى وأتموا الحج والعمرة لله
Chapter: Those who held Umrah obligatory, citing the saying of Allah the Exalted: "And complete the Hajj and Umrah for Allah"
Bayhaqi 8769 — Those who held Umrah obligatory, citing the saying
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْفَقِيهُ، أنبأ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ زَكَرِيَّا، ثنا عَبَّادُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ دَاوُدَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: " الْعُمْرَةُ وَاجِبَةٌ كَوُجُوبِ الْحَجِّ وَهُوَ الْحَجُّ الْأَصْغَرُ ".
Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Umrah too is obligatory like Hajj, and it is the lesser pilgrimage (al-hajj al-asghar).
