وَأَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْمُقْرِئُ، أنبأ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ مَعْنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْغِفَارِيِّ، عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ مَعَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ بِالْبَقِيعِ فَسَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " الطَّاعِمُ الشَّاكِرُ مِثْلُ الصَّائِمِ الصَّابِرِ ". وَقَدْ قِيلَ: عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ مَعْنٍ عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ وَحَنْظَلَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ.
Hanzalah bin Ali (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates: I was with Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) at al-Baqi', and I heard Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) saying that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The one who eats and is grateful is like the one who fasts and is patient."
