أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، قَالَا: ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بِلَالٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي حَرَّةَ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ حَكِيمِ بْنِ أَبِي حَرَّةَ عَنْ سَلْمَانَ الْأَغَرِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: لَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " إِنَّ لِلطَّاعِمِ الشَّاكِرِ مِنَ الْأَجْرِ مِثْلَ مَا لِلصَّائِمِ الصَّابِرِ ".
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I know it only as (narrated) from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, the one who eats and is grateful is, in reward, like the patient one who fasts."
