أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ، بِبَغْدَادَ، أنبأ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أنبأ مَعْمَرٌ، حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ، مِنْ بَنِي غِفَارٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ سَعِيدًا الْمَقْبُرِيَّ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " الطَّاعِمُ الشَّاكِرُ كَالصَّائِمِ الصَّابِرِ ".
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The one who eats and is grateful is like the one who fasts and is patient."
