أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ دُحَيْمٍ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ، بِالْكُوفَةِ، أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَازِمِ بْنِ أَبِي غَرَزَةَ، ثنا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ دُكَيْنٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ الطَّائِفِيُّ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: رَأَى نَاسٌ نَارًا فِي الْمَقْبَرَةِ فَأَتَوْهَا فَإِذَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْقَبْرِ وَإِذَا هُوَ يَقُولُ: " نَاوِلُونِي صَاحِبَكُمْ وَإِذَا هُوَ الرَّجُلُ الْأَوَّاهُ الَّذِي يَرْفَعُ صَوْتَهُ بِالذِّكْرِ ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that some people saw a fire in the graveyard, so they came to it, and they saw that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was in the grave, saying: "Hand me your companion." He was the man who used to raise his voice when making remembrance (dhikr).
