أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالَا: ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ: ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: " كَانَ الَّذِينَ نَزَلُوا فِي قَبْرِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، وَالْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ، وَقُثَمُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ، وَشُقْرَانُ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ⦗٨٨⦘ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمْ "، وَقَدْ قَالَ أَوْسُ بْنُ خَوْلِيٍّ: لِعَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ: يَا عَلِيُّ أَنْشُدُكَ اللهَ وَحَظَّنَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لَهُ: " انْزِلْ فَنَزَلَ مَعَ الْقَوْمِ فَكَانُوا خَمْسَةً " قَالَ الشَّيْخُ: وَشُقْرَانُ هُوَ صَالِحٌ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَقَبُهُ شُقْرَانُ.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that those who went down into the grave of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) were Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib, Sayyiduna al-Fadl bin al-Abbas, Sayyiduna Qutham bin al-Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) and Sayyiduna Shuqran (may Allah be pleased with him), the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Sayyiduna Aws bin Khawli (may Allah be pleased with him) said to Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him): I ask you by Allah, and by our closeness to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He said: Come down. So he too went down with the others, and they were five in number. The Shaykh said: Shuqran is the title of Salih, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
