أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْعَلَوِيُّ، أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ بِلَالٍ الْبَزَّازُ، أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَفْصِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الَّلِه، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ طِهْمَانَ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: كُنْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِذْ مَرَّ بِقَبْرٍ حَدِيثِ عَهْدٍ بِدَفْنٍ، فَقَالَ: " قَبْرُ مَنْ هَذَا؟ " فَقِيلَ: قَبْرُ فُلَانٍ، قَالَ: فَنَزَلَ فَصَفَّ أَصْحَابَهَ خَلْفَهُ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ، وَأَنَا فِيمَنْ صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ " ⦗٧٧⦘ وَكَأَنَّهُ سَمِعَ الْحَدِيثَ مِنَ الْوَجْهَيْنِ جَمِيعًا، وَرُوِيَ فِي ذَلِكَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَغَيْرِهِمَا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: I was with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when he (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a grave that was newly made. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whose grave is this?" It was said: It is the grave of so-and-so. He (peace and blessings be upon him) dismounted, and the Companions formed a row behind him (peace and blessings be upon him) and prayed the funeral prayer over him, and I was among those who prayed over him.
